Wales Bonner presents a video and photographic project by Jorge Perez Ortiz, shot in India, 2026.
The photo series features the Wales Bonner Autumn Winter 2026 collection Morning Raga, celebrating an imaginative optimism rendered uniquely across cultures.
A new spirit in the ascending scale.
"This is my third journey to India. Every time I return, I find myself deeply moved by its light, its architecture and the quiet sense of spirituality that seems woven into everyday life. Since my first visit, I had wanted to come back and experience India once again, allowing it to continue shaping the way I see and create.
Where Midnight Palms moved through connection and shared energy, this work turns towards silence, rhythm and inner presence. Shaped by architecture, the male body and India as a lived experience, it became a quieter and more contemplative exploration.
Rather than documenting a place or illustrating a fashion collection, I wanted to create a personal response to what I experienced while travelling through India. Fashion became part of that journey rather than its subject. My hope is that the work invites the viewer to slow down, observe and simply experience the journey in their own way."
- Jorge Perez Ortiz
The voice featured in the film belongs to Jiddu Krishnamurti (1895–1986), an Indian philosopher whose teachings explored awareness, observation and inner freedom.
The film features music by Pablo Díaz Fanjul.
